There are two storage locations for this product. Your actual document is stored in the archives of Joisto, encrypted. The information regarding any changes & originality of your document, including the exact time (timestamp) is stored in the unchangeable network of blockchain, encrypted.
While it’s possible to have a record of all edits (including the time) in traditional security, Joisto’s Blockchain-enabled solution makes this information impossible to manipulate by anyone (internal or external). This means that there is an eternal & untouchable memory of your audit history – including proof of time.
Every time a change is made to your document, the event (not content) is verified by Joisto and a third party institutional verification partner. This means that while only you can see the contents of the document it’s mathematically impossible to takeover the whole network so you are protected against malicious activity.
Blockchain is the most sophisticated method of tracking timestamps & modifications. By design, it is resistant to modification of data stored in it’s network because once recorded, the data in any given block cannot be altered retroactively, without alteration of all subsequent blocks.
